This Privacy Policy explains how your personal data is collected, used and protected in TrueSelf Coach (the "Platform").
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is César Francisco Méndez García (an individual), operator of TrueSelf Coach. For any matter regarding your data, contact us at hola@trueselfcoach.app.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data: name, email and profile photo, obtained when you sign in with Google.
- Wellness data you record: habits, mood and energy, reflections and journal entries, your initial questionnaire ("Soul Map"), breathing sessions and personal goals.
- Payment data (coaches): processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details; we only keep customer/subscription identifiers and your plan status.
- Technical data: session cookies, language preference and anti-abuse verification data (Firebase App Check / reCAPTCHA Enterprise).
3. Sensitive data
Some data you voluntarily record (related to your emotional wellbeing and habits) may be considered sensitive. By recording it on the Platform you give your express consent to process it under this Policy. You may withdraw consent at any time (see section 8).
4. Purposes of processing
Primary purposes (necessary for the service): create and manage your account; operate the journal, habit tracking, tools and gamification; link you with your coach and let them follow your progress; generate AI-powered analysis and insights (see section 6); process payments and manage subscriptions (coaches).
Secondary purposes (you may opt out): product improvements and service communications.
5. Who we share data with
- With your coach: if you sign up through a coach's link, your assigned coach can see your progress data. This is the core purpose of the Platform.
- Service providers: Google Firebase (auth, database, storage), Stripe (payments) and Google Cloud / Vertex AI (AI processing). They process data on our behalf under their own policies.
- We do not sell your personal data. We only disclose it when required by law or a competent authority.
6. Artificial Intelligence processing
Some features (insights, session guides, transformation plans, reflections) use Google (Vertex AI / Gemini) AI models. AI output is for guidance only, may contain inaccuracies and does not constitute medical, psychological or professional advice.
7. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active and as long as needed to meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict and port your data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise them, email hola@trueselfcoach.app stating your request and your account email. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
9. Security
We apply reasonable security measures through Google Firebase, including encryption in transit and at rest, and access rules that isolate each user's data. No system is 100% infallible.
10. Minors
The Platform is intended for people over 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. International transfers
Your data may be stored and processed on our providers' servers (Google, Stripe) located outside your country, primarily in the United States, under their respective protection frameworks.
12. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep your session and language preference, plus anti-abuse mechanisms (App Check / reCAPTCHA). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. The current version will be posted on this page with its update date.
14. Important notice (not a medical service)
TrueSelf Coach is a wellbeing and companion tool. It does not constitute a medical or psychological diagnosis, treatment or advice, nor does it replace care from a health professional. For any health concern, consult a qualified professional.
